Why Early Diagnosis Matters

Studies show that nearly all individuals who are diagnosed with dementia recognize the benefits—only a small minority report no perceived value in knowing their condition. Yet, data from the UK and U.S. suggest that a substantial percentage of people with dementia remain undiagnosed.
One of the most common forms of dementia is vascular dementia, which may develop after a stroke or from conditions that affect blood flow to the brain. Through PET/CT imaging, we assess structural changes in the brain, as well as evaluate metabolic activity or amyloid plaques (where applicable).

Recent advancements in Alzheimer's treatment include the approval of Kisunla (donanemab) in, a monoclonal antibody targeting amyloid plaques to slow cognitive decline in early-stage patients.
Additionally, studies on GLP-1 receptor agonists like semaglutide suggest potential in reducing dementia risk and slowing progression.
